NSW CFA REGISTERED CATTERY BREEDING BIRMAN CATS

Please use the buttons above to navigate around my site.

NEWS: Robbie is looking for his forever home, he is a Victorian Champion who is a very smoochy loving boy, he would only be suitable for a single cat house or perhaps with a single female cat. If you think you can offer this boy a home please let me know, he is available for a small fee to cover his desexing and vaccination.

Sobriquet Birmans is a small home based breeding cattery raising healthy beautiful Birman kittens in Bega on the South Coast of NSW. Visits to the cattery are encouraged, please email Michelle. Temperament is a priority at Sobriquet, all my adults have great temperaments and they pass it onto kittens, that are then well socialised. This takes care of NATURE and NURTURE. My kittens have fantastic eye colour, strong boning, excellent head type and exceptional temperaments.

Please let me know if you would like a 2008/2009 Birman kitten from Sobriquet Birmans by email or phone, my babies have generally found their new homes, and deposits are paid, by the time they are about 5 weeks old, so if you are patient and want a very well socialised and healthy kitten let me know. Kittens go their new homes at 12 weeks and the lucky humans receive regular updates throughout this time.

The birman cat is a semi long hair cat with blue eyes and white feet. They are renowned for their excellent personalities and affectionate gentle temperaments. There are so many reasons to choose a Birman to be your next companion. For more information try the Birman Cat Club Of Australia. To learn about the legend of the Birman Cat. Some other interesting links are Cat World.com.au Baby Names to help you choose your babies house name, Australian Breed Standard and of course Caring for your new kitten.

My thanks to Heather of Sharada Birmans in allowing me to adopt another two of her stunning babies. I look forward to comencing their show careers and watching them grow and develop into the beautiful girls I know they will be. Keep an eye on my queens page to see these girls soon!

Why buy your new kitten from registered breeder?
Purebred kittens are like designer handbags. Sounds crazy but it's true. We all know that there is the authentic designer bag then there are the cheap knock offs. The real designer bags are hand crafted, made with care and attention to detail. They are good quality and you know you are getting what you pay for, the real thing! Cheap knock offs are slapped together in sweatshops from substandard materials. They appear similar to the real thing but look closely and it is clear they are just an imitation. Sadly they often dont last as long as the real deal because they are not well made.

It is the same with registered purebred kittens. A kitten from a registered breeder comes with a pedigree that proves it is the breed they say it is. Unregistered breeders just breed cats that look like the real thing. The only difference between kittens and designers bags (aside from the fur!) is that kittens from registered breeders dont cost more. In some cases they cost less especially when they have vaccinations, microchipping and desexing included in the price. Registered breeders follow the standards set by their asociations and breed for love not money.
So buyer beware. Dont make the mistake of buying your kitten from an unregistered breeder. Why have a cheap knock off when you can have the real thing?" www.cuddleton.com

Even if you don’t buy a kitten from me...
Make sure you choose a registered breeder. It is the only way to be sure you are getting the real deal. We are just regular people who love cats enough to do the right thing by them and the kittens we sell.

Are you looking for a cheap kitten?
You might have heard that kittens from registered breeders are more expensive and that you are just paying for a bit of paper. True, you will get a pedigree when you buy a registered kitten but you will also get a lot of added value. Make sure you factor into the price everything your kitten comes with. Vaccinating, microchipping and desexing a kitten can cost between $250-300. If these things are already done before you take your kitten home you may find your kitten works out cheaper than an unregistered kitten with just one cheap vaccination.

I am a registered breeder
This means my cats are genuine and have papers. I breed because I love cats and am working towards my goal of breeding the perfect Birman. I breed as a hobby. I dont breed to make money.
